A Gift from the Herb Garden ~ Garlic

A gift from a friend yesterday-

a whole bag of freshly dug garlic!
This brought joy to my herb-loving heart.
I haven't planted garlic in my herb garden yet.
And I had 'organic garlic' on my shopping list because I want to make garlic honey.
Have you heard of it?
I found the recipe in my current favorite herb book-
Alchemy of Herbs by Rosalee de la Foret.

It's a fairly straightforward 'recipe'- mince garlic and cover with honey. Said to be good for coughs and sore throats and such. I want to add more garlic to my diet and this will be a tasty way to do so.
I think this will be good to use when making my own salad dressing.

Do you grow your own garlic?  If so, please tell me your best tips and tricks for a good harvest!

What is your favorite way to use garlic?  I use it daily in recipes, and I'll let you know how the garlic honey works out.

What's growing in your world?  Spring is finally here and I've finished the main planting of herbs.  Seeds are slowly sprouting.

Herbal Blessings,

Catherine Ann
